The Saving Local Heroes activity of Arden Botanical Estate employees raised a total amount of 38,444 pesos after a month of promoting small, micro, and medium enterprises (SMMEs).

Saving Local Heroes – Bravehearts

Saving Local Heroes is one of the Christmas activities of ABE, which is in line with the concept, Bravehearts. Further, the idea means keeping the faith and resilience in braving the challenges brought by the year 2020. The SMMEs activity aims to support local businesses. It is because many start-up enterprises opened during the announcement of the community quarantine.

The ABE employees were free to nominate their favored business. The Viber group organized a total of 16 projects, together with 33 employees. On top of that, the Viber group became the online “one-stop-shop” where these businesses can promote. Also, employees can book an order on the chat group. Easily available on Viber, the representatives from each business can quickly respond to questions. Then, it settles the process of ordering and delivery.

The online group was launched on December 5 and ended on December 30. When it started, 11 food and drink ventures participated, including main course meals, snacks, desserts, milk teas, and coffees. There were also five local businesses, including cosmetics, sunglasses, ceramics, and a bookstore.

The Viber group is private so sharing the business pages of the participants on social media is highly encouraged for ABE employees. Facebook is a place where their family and friends can know more about the cause.
